Why to participate?
Recent events have increased the need for a reliable network of monitoring systems to predict and protect against natural events and structural collapses that have resulted in casualties and economic damages.
The effectiveness and efficiency of appropriate monitoring systems is the result of a long and complex process which must be based on a solid cultural background, common rules, strong technological support, considerable skill and dedication by those who have to install and manage them.
International experts and authorities will meet in the Aula Magna of La Sapienza University of Rome to discuss the role and prospects of Geotechnical and Structural Monitoring for the natural and built environment.
  Event’s Highlights  
To present the state of the art on geotechnical and structural monitoring, four round tables, supported by internationally recognized experts, will be organized during a dedicated event held in the Aula Magna of La Sapienza University.
These tables will provide the view of:
  • Academia and Research Institutions, responsible for educating on specific topics and supporting with their technological developments;
  • Policy makers and Insurers, responsible for providing standards, guidelines and supporting Owners and Contractors;
  • Asset Managers and Contractors, responsible for structural health evaluation allowing safe and reliable infrastructures and buildings;
  • Manufacturers responsible for providing instruments and measuring technologies to Service Providers allowing monitoring solutions design.
